ABOUT Based in the UK, but working globally, ExecIA has been formed to deliver a series of capabilities built around our years of experience in IT security, programme and IT operational management. This experience has been gained in the commercial and government sectors; both as users and suppliers. The most important driver for the team at ExecIA is the need to ensure that Information Assurance programmes are aligned with business strategy. We don’t believe in IA for its own sake. We want to move away from being seen as “security” – the team that likes to say “No!” Instead, we want to help stakeholders to an understanding of what assuring their information means – so that a more effective programme can be implemented. Our second driver is the need to implement information assurance simply and appropriately. Using aids and tools that encapsulate relevant experience to reduce the cost of delivery to the business. Already we are working on a new generation of tools that will benefit customers.
Why ExecIA? ExecIA brings together a group of people with many years of experience in all aspects of information assurance - both from the customer and vendor perspective - and who can provide the independent advice and help that allows customers and vendors to mesh together effectively and efficiently. All aspects of design, selection and implementation of information assurance solutions are covered. The key to success is the use of practical methods designed to produce rapid results.Traditionally organisations have sought technological solutions to the management of information assurance. This often results in the delivery of technology which is not aligned with business priorities; thus wasting time, effort and money. ExecIA believes that organisations need cost-effective solutions, including people, process and technology, that deliver real transformational change whilst at the same time achieving business goals.
